And, for the record, I don’t understand men, either. The reasons why people do the things they do baffle me…and that’s in the best of circumstances! When a person lashes out (physically or verbally) and hurts another, then I’m totally befuddled.
With the school year approaching, I hear conversations about new relationships with teachers, classmates, and college roommates. Often, the continuum of How Well We Get Along involves the phenomenon of Clicking, expressed in points of Quite, as in: we clicked quite well or we didn’t quite click.
So many things divide us. Even when we voice support for something that the vast majority would uphold (e.g., Black lives matter, Love wins), some become irritated, hearing only what doesn’t matter or what doesn’t win. Polarized response has become commonplace, expected, and even sought out.
